(don't mind this journal-like post, it was such a great week, i wanted to remember all of it.)
Saturday: 6am we began driving... ate some treats and did moreee driving! Finally after driving for 12 hours, we got to my family's house :)I was SO excited to see everyone again. FUN night, lots of laughing!
Sunday: We basically slept all day ha. Rough drive. After we went back to my family's place and had some delish dinner together! My sister from SLC and her cutie babies even came down. Jess and I had lots of fun with Colton, playing on the tramp and running around our house. He is a ball! My dad left for his fishing trip so we went to Wendys for coco shakes and ended our night playing balderdash. Funniest game ever with my sisters, her boyfriend and nikole n stephen. It was too much laughing for Zack though. We're kind of annoying together.
Monday: I started my day getting Lunch with Chelsi at China Isle, mmmm! So great to be back with friends. Picked Jess up from BYU so we could spend some time together before her date that night, yay! Then Zack and I went to Jackie's baby's birthday party. It was so fun, I haven't seen her since her wedding! SO happy she's living in UT again. Later that night we met up with Nikole and Stephen at Chili's, yummy. They LOVE that place. Good times :)

Tuesday: Recently, Lauren and I have been looking at all the cute crafty diy blogs so we came up with a lot of cool ideas. We went to the store and got some supplies and made these cute boards, but I left mine at her pad in Utah, oops. Also I got to play with her new baby bulldog Harley, ahh he's so cute! After I left Laur's Zack and I went to Barnes and Noble and UVU... got some schwwweet new books. Afterwards I met up with Kate at Blue Lemon for dinner/dessert :) Later that night we just spent some time with my parents and Jamie n Chris. AND later after that Jess and I slept on our trampoine :) Jamie tried, but she only lasted 10 minutes... pretty chilly! Fun night.
Wednesday: Olivia was in town so we got to spend some time together :) we did some shopping, got some goodies from the Provo Bakery then got massages ahhh. SO wonderful. Also her preggers belly is so cute! Once I got back to Alpine I went to Nikole's and we MADE SNOW! It was crazy. "Snowtogo" I think is the name. Amazing!! After I went home I got to enjoy some yummy steak in our backyard with my dad and Susan. Delish! Then Zack and I, Jess, Nikole and Stephen went up American Fork Canyon to go rock climbing. It was beautiful and refreshing. It makes me want to get into rock climbing asap :) When we got back to my fam's house my dad and Susan were busy making salsa. Mmmmm the smell of peppers and spices was unreal. Long day, so Zack and I ended our night with some hot tubbin.
Thursday: I went into Buckle and saw my old friends I used to work with. Then I went over to Ginger's and met her newborn baby boy, Parker. ADORABLE! :)Afterwards I went to the "shire" and got a tour of Kate's new apartment. I love her style! While she finished getting ready I drove over to Nikole's work, Rec Outlet and bought some gnarly survival gear. I'm stoked. Thennn I met Kate and Laur at Blue Lemon for lunch/dessert. I seriously love when us three get together! After lunch Nikole and I drove up American Fork Canyon in search of a natural spring of fresh water. We found, we filled our water bottles and we drank. YUM! We drove to the top of the Alpine Loop before we turned around. When I got back home Jess and I drove up to SLC to see my mommy and little brother. Cyrus is a smarty pants taking college math at the college. Future billionaire. It was so fun seeing them. After Cyrus went to his math class (my step dad teaches it) we went back to my mama's and just spent some quality time together laughing, looking at old pictures and telling stories. I loved it! We then drove back to Alpine and had a fire/smore fest in our back yard. It was so fun! We (Zack, I, Jess, Ryker, Jamie, Chris, Nikole and Stephen)went to Dennys for LATE night snack aka PANCAKES! After stuffing our faces, we finally went to sleep.
Friday: Had my cousin Jordin do my hair, who is only weeks away from having her baby girl. What a trooper! After my hair appt I went back to Alpine and made some muffins for Zack (who keep in mind was in our hotel most of the trip working his bum off). Jess and I went and dropped off his breakfast, then met up with Chelsi at the Blue Goose Boutique in Lehi. They had some really cute Halloween decor. I indulged :) Then Jess and I went on a Walmart adventure, since there are none in Santa Barbara. Jess needed to do hw so I took her home and went back to Nikole's store for more survival/camping gear. I love her store! It started getting late so I went back to our hotel with Jamie and we got ready for the night. Zack finally finished work so we all went out and bought some movie treats then had dinner at Chili's with us 3, Nikole, Stephen, Chelsi and Trent. So fun being together with everyone! Dinner was a hoot hahah. After stuffing ourselves yet again, Zack and I went to the movie theater and saw Captain American. Amaaazinggg. Wonderful night, SO fun!
Saturday: Zack and I woke up early and drove to SLC for my brother, Cyrus's soccer game. He did so good :) but his poor knees were killing him. Poor little guy. It was fun watching with my mommy. After his game we all walked over to the library and checked it out. After we left Zack drove me up by the U and dropped me off and Chelsey's newlywed apt. Chelsey, Nikole and I hungout for a couple hours there catching up on our busy, crazy new lives. Chelsey cooked us some pizza too ha. It was burned, but still seriously tasted delish. I love them. bfff :) While I was with them Zack was getting new tires for the car, and halfway back to Alpine we noticed something was wrong. So Zack dropped me off with my family in Sandy for dinner at Chuck a Rama (YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM) while he went back to downtown SLC to fix the problem. He's so sweet. Chuck was so fun with my fam :) We pigged out mmmm. Chris and Jamie left dinner a little early to go watch the BYU/Utah game, but the rest of us went home for a nap/movie sesh. Woke up when Zack walked in with a pizza, bleh more food... which we ate as well haha. I tried eating my pizza laying down and the sauce dripped all into my hair, it was terrible! hahah worst lazy idea ever. Nikole and Stephen came over then we all migrated over to the Kaplar home and hungout with them for a little during their family reunion... ate more food and left ha. THEN we decided it would be a good idea to go to the spinny park!!! omg. barf. but SOOO fun. hahah. Once we got back to my house it started to hit me it was our last night here.. Sad time.
Sunday: Woke up at 6am, packed and went to say goodbye to my family :( it was really hard. I love them so much, and miss them everyday that I'm away. I'm so lucky to have them in my life. I also know how blessed I am for Zack and I to be able to live in beautiful Santa Barbara :) I'm just kind of a baby, and get homesick a lot. Anywayyyys advice for ya'll- Don't drive the stretch between Vegas and LA on a Sunday! You'll be sitting in your car, in the desert all day. We've learned now. Turned our drive home into a 13 hour drive. AND now, after the best week (for me at least, poor hubby worked harder than ever while I played all week. good man i've got!) but it does feel good to be back home.
We'll be back in October ya'll!!
