One Year Anniversary!!

Ohh my goodness! One year strong.
We are right on track for eternity.

For our anniversary we stayed in SB, but we were "gone"... as in a weekend of just us, as in radio silence doing all the things we'd been wanting to do. We loved it :)
On Friday (the beginning of our weekend celebration) I made a little treasure hunt for Zack, cheesy but I loved doing it. I bought a treasure chest and painted it, filled it with lots of gold chocolate, treats, sand, sea shells and a message (love letter) in a bottle and put it on the beach. I gave Zack this map and sent him on his way.
After that little adventure Zack and I grabbed a Little Caesars pizza and ate it in the car while we charged out to the movie theater to see The Amazing Spiderman. We really really liked it! SO much better than the terrible Toby Maguire Spiderman movies.
Saturday morning we went out to breakfast at Jeannine's in Montecito. We had been talking about going there for the longest time... It was delish! I'm so glad we finally went.
Cute right??
Hot coco heaven right there... MMM
Zack's meal
& mine!
After breakfast we went to The Color Room and got our hair did. My roots were getting SO bad and Zack's hair was seriously long! It was perfect and so relaxing (we love getting worked on haha). Then we went to the book store for new books :) and got the most amazing lunch at Renaud's afterwards.
We even got a sandwich with our desserts...
why not get all fat on your anniversary weekend? oops.
Later that day, after some serious food coma napage, we went to East Beach. Zack swam. I watched. We had perfect weather, it was great.
My husband is such a hunk!!

We love eating dinner out on the wharf as the sun is setting, and even though we were trying to do new things in SB we decided to get din at Longboards, one of our favorite places.
It's hard to miss the candy store on the wharf. It so so over priced but I loveee it! It's kind of like a miniature version of the Peppermint Place in Alpine. We had to stop for some pre din amazingness.
We clearly threw out our diets this weekend..
In case you hadn't caught on already ha ha.
Watching the Pelicans diving for their din.
Pretty!
The morning of our anniversary Zack took me to Xanadu, where we got some hot coco, pastries and croissants. We took our yummies to Butterfly Beach. We had always talked about having our breakfast on the wall at Butterfly Beach. Zack surprised me and we finally did it :) Not that it's a hard thing to do, we just thought it would be romantic but we never got around to doing it, until now.
This was so fun.
After breakfast Zack drove me up to Ojah! Another thing we had been wanting to do for awhile now. We took the scenic route through Casitas Pass to get a look at this beautiful lake.
This was almost a dream come true- a lake nearby where we could go camping and swimming without any worries of sharks.. except for that you can't swim in this lake! What the? Shouldn't they make the cities supply of drinking water less tempting? So dumb.
Ojah was really cute. We drove around exploring, got diet cokes then drove down to Ventura.
We went to the Patagonia- that's the og tin shed. While we were there I got some new workout clothes eee my fave!
You would think that having the top of your wedding cake in your freezer for a year would be nasty gross right? Not ours. It was sooo yummy! Zack only wanted us to eat one slice so that we wouldn't get sick haha. Just incase..
For our anniversary dinner we went to the greatest italian place, Pane e Vino in Montecito.
He LOVED it.
I LOVED it.
We decided it was the best pasta we'd ever had.
Happy Anniversary lover!
Stoked.
Our waiter was so nice, as we were leaving he asked if we wanted some pictures in front of the place. It's like he read my mind.
It only took me a year to get this baby framed, woops.
I'm so excited to see what year two has in store for us. It's already been better than year one, and our first year was great! So many things are coming together for us. We are truly blessed in our marriage and we are happier than ever.
