Christmas

I love Christmas morning. It's always so fun and exciting sitting around the tree with family, opening gifts and remembering the birth of the Savior. I love that I get to talk to my grandparents on the phone who live far away and that I can get together with my family and grandparents who live near by.

Christmas has always been a holiday full of love and happiness at our home. It makes me grateful for the family and friends I have in my life.

I love the story of when Christ was born, I love seeing nativity scenes and spending time at the Temple this time of year.

I hope everyone else had a great Christmas!

Jess's Christmas sweater is the greatest. We searched all over town to find one equally as amazing for me but they were all out.

We tend to get a little weird when we're together
.. or is it just me?
Promise my dad isn't mad, I forgot to warn him before I took the picture haha. I just wanted to document our Christmas breakfast tradition of toast and gravy.. sorry bout the bad timing dad! YUMM!
Yup, super nintendo is back! Thank you Chris & Jamie.
Christmas morning with my best friend!
Tradition since we were wee little ones.
I had no idea how awesome snowblowers were! Crazy.
I was thrilled about this white Christmas!

We spent the day visiting family, hanging out with friends and eating good food. Zack and my brother watched the Laker game (they won!) and after more basketball Jess, Zack and I went and saw The Hobbit. It was a great Christmas.

Christmas Eve

My family always does a really fun Christmas Eve! We play games, drink sparkling cider, eat great food and watch movies.

This year Jess and I made a list of everything we wanted to do on Christmas Eve. It was a good list AND we did everything on it. I added on a few snow related activities, which didn't make Jess very happy at first because she hates the snow, but she is the best so she bundled up and came outside with me.

These were some of the things on our list:
snow angels
We wanted to make a snowman but the snow wasn't packing so we made this miniature one in a tree.
 I love the snow
hot coco milk
Bloody smash, a Frandsen favorite card game.
I won!
 Best friends Christmas traditions
 more games
Jess and I read the letters we wrote to Santa on half Christmas. HA they were so funny....
We made actual snow cones and they were so yummy!
We drove around Alpine and looked at the luminaries and Christmas lights. Susan didn't want to go but my dad put her boots and coat on for her and pulled her out the door haha.
We also drank sparkling cider and had a lot of Christmas movies playing while we were playing games and hanging out. We watched Elf, The Grinch and after everyone else had gone to bed Zack, my dad and I watched Moneyball.

It was a very fun night!

Frandsen Christmas Party

You know those days where you get really really bad news and it kind of just ruins everything for awhile? Well today is one of those days. So here's to blogging about better times :)

This year we had our first official Frandsen Christmas Party! My grandparents drove down from Panguitch, Diana and her family came down from SLC along with Jayson AND my dad picked up my uncle Peter from SLC who I haven't seen in probably 5 years or so. It was amazing having everyone together! Such a blessing.

Both of my darling nieces were recovering from pneumonia at the time so they weren't feeling it during the party and at the end of the night Colton came down with a fever and got super sick too :( Poor babes. I'm just glad I got to spend some time with them regardless of any sicknesses we were about to catch from them lol.

We had a big dinner with everyone and then did some gift exchanging while we hung out. The kids had a ball tearing open presents, throwing their new clothes over their heads while they dug for the presents filled with toys haha.

We had so much fun! I love my dear family.

Colton loved the gift we gave him :) Success!
Khloe and great grandma Frandsen <3
My grandparents and Peter, my uncle who is blind. His story is truly amazing and I hope that one day we can earn enough money to help him with his condition. He has the purest heart.
Cha ching! Our family loves Chuck.
 I love them soo much!
