The first week of August is Fiesta in Santa Barbara. They celebrate Santa Barbara's history and spanish/mexican heritage with dancing, parades, rodeos, amazing food, ect... It's always a lot of fun! They also sell eggs full of confetti that you smash on each others head.
August 2nd, my half birthday, just happened to be during fiesta. We got cupcakes, went to the equestrian parade, and smashed confetti eggs.
